The War of the Roses
Kicking off the month strong, we would like to wish all our clients and partners across the border a very happy #YorkshireDay. For those based in Yorkshire make sure to use this day to your content advantage and create some engaging posts surrounding the theme of your county. For others, make sure to keep an eye out for your county’s annual day and keep those content ideas handy for then.
Do you have a quirky hobby?
Maybe there’s a hidden embroiderer in your team or even a budding cliff diver, either way there are plenty of quirky hobbies out there, a few examples have awareness days that just so happen to fall in August. Take a deep dive with International Scuba Day on the 6th, go exploring with International Geocaching Day on the 17th or dress to impress with International Cosplay Day on the 24th. Plenty of opportunity to try something new – at least you’ll always have the opening for an interesting discussion at a dinner party.
Write it in the diary…
There’s lots of festivals and events happening throughout the month of August. Brighton Pride falls on the 3rd and Manchester Pride follows along later on the 23rd, an opportunity to show your company’s alliance with the LGBTQ+ community and create some fun and colourful content.
The Reading & Leeds Festival 2024 kicks off on Wednesday 21st, and with headliners like Blink-182, Fred Again…, Liam Gallagher and Lana Del Rey it promises to be a cracking weekend of music. Make sure anyone in your office who is in attendance grabs plenty of photos and videos to ensure the whole office is suitably envy.
And finally, to round off the month, Notting Hill Carnival starts on the 25th. An annual Caribbean Carnival that first took place on the streets on Kensington in 1966. This vibrant and colourful event is great for creative inspiration and if needed dance move tips.
