As Mariah Carey would say, ‘it’s timeeeeeee!’. With the 1st of December officially upon us, advent has begun. Throughout the entire month there are days dedicated to all sorts of Christmas-themed activities. From Tree Dressing Day on the 7th to Christmas Movie Marathon Day on the 23rd, opportunities to involve your staff in festive activities are endless. And on the 12th of December get ready to whip out your most outrageous Christmas jumper for #ChristmasJumperDay and keep your cameras at the ready for those models in your office. Last but not least, there is obviously the 24th and the 25th – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day – a time to relax, enjoy good food and spend quality time with those that you love most.

Offering a chance to buy those last-minute gifts at a discounted rate, Cyber Monday is the more recent extension of Black Friday. Introduced in 2005, the name ‘Cyber Monday’ came from research showing the date to be ‘one of the biggest online shopping days of the year’. Why not take advantage of the surge in online traffic with some witty, trending or informative content to capture the attention of your audience? Everyone loves a nosey into what gifts and discounts others have bagged – just make sure the intended recipient isn’t watching.
Anyone for a party?
Finishing off 2024 with a bang! For those of you who love a good boogie, there’s plenty of excuses this month to throw a party. The last Friday before Christmas – the 20th – plays host to Mad Friday. An opportunity to let your hair down, after what has been for most a very stressful year. And finally, saying hello to 2025. New Year’s Eve on the 31st is the final opportunity this year to wish your clients, colleagues and suppliers well and give them the best wishes for the new year.
