Drip, drip, drop, little April showers,
We’re a quarter of the way through 2024 and wow did it fly by! Gear up for some interesting and energetic awareness days this month with plenty of opportunities for a lot of exciting content ideas and engaging posts.
Without hesitation, let’s get April underway!
Fool me once…
The 1st of April is April Fools Day and what better reason to pull out your best jokes and pranks at the office? Just make sure there is a camera around to capture the evidence – after all there is nothing more that social media users love than a good scare moment or prank outcome.
Feeling fit?
There is plenty of opportunity throughout April to focus on your mind and body. Put on your best walking shoes for #WalkToWorkDay on the 5th, and if work is just a bit too far away, why not work to the train station or take the stairs instead of the lift? World Health Day falls on the 7th this month; take this day to focus on yourself both mentally and physically, as well as checking in with your community helping to create enriched relationships. On the 18th and 29th, why not get the whole office involved for National Exercise Day and International Dance Day? There’s no better reason to get your colleagues to perform the latest TikTok dance trend or create an exercise-based competition to get the office participating.
Back down to Earth
Take a trip back down to Earth this month and showcase your love for our planet with National Gardening Day on the 14th. Maybe you have a colleague gifted with a green-thumb that you can showcase on your social media accounts? Earth Day falls on the 22nd April and the theme this year is ‘Planet vs Plastics’ – it is accompanied by the social media campaign #PlasticsDetoxChallenge which promotes the reduction of single-se items to inspire a shift to a plastic-free lifestyle. What a great way to showcase all your company is doing to work towards a brighter future for our planet!
April is all about taking care – mind, body and planet – one hashtag at a time!
